Take your senses on a journey with Opera Bar's Sunset Tasting sessions. Set within Opera Bar's exclusive Meat + Cheese room, sit back and relax with sweeping views of the sun setting over Sydney's Harbour, Harbour Bridge, Opera House and city skyline.

Join Premium Spirit Ambassador Luke Hanzlicek as he returns to take you on a mouth watering journey into the indulgent world of the American Whiskies in Beam Suntory's portfolio, and how they match perfectly with artisan charcuterie and cheeses.

Whether you are a beginner with whisky, or a whisky connoisseur, this session will leave you nothing less than eternally satisfied and a master of Whisky + Charcuterie.

A limited number of guests will ensure interactive education and personalised service.

This Whisky + Cheese tasting session will commence at 6pm and will include: 

  • One whisky based cocktail on arrival
  • Tastings of a minimum of 4 whisky's matched with an assortment of local artisan meats and cheeses
  • Canapés served throughout the session
  • A whisky based cocktail on conclusion
  • Tasting notes + a small gift to take home

Luke Hanzlicek: After continuing over from Australia's longest running training program- Club Suntory, Luke is dedicated to continuing this legacy of supporting bartenders of all levels as well as all of the amazing products in the Beam Suntory portfolio. With over 10 years' experience in the liquor industry, Luke has dedicated countless hours researching the history of particular brands, classic cocktails and bartending techniques. During the time spent working behind the bar, Luke has worked at award winning venues such as The Victoria Room, Longrain, Aperitif and Cruise Restaurant and has also worked as a private bartender for celebrities such as Kanye, Beyoncé, Jay Z and U2.
